  2. Thanks Gary. I don't know the artist, but hopefully I can figure it out when I get the original.

  5. i've been exploring your blog for the past 3 days now.

after Burroughs I haven't read any of the other writers on your blog, though I have just ordered Michaux's Miserable Miracle from abebooks.com after looking around my town for a few weeks for anything by him. Have you read his travel writings?

The writers you have posted sound intriguing and I hope to read a lot of them.

    thank you!

  6. Thanks Drew, and happy searching. I sometimes consider labeling each entry: "easy-to-find," "hard-to-find," and "don't even bother searching because you will never find it."

If you are coming to this stuff through Burroughs and co (I came to a lot of it through them), I would pick up Daumal's Mount Analogue immediately. And you can't get any trippier than Lautreamont's Maldoror and Nerval's Aurelia, two key influences to nearly everything on the blog.

  7. Thanks for the recommendations Will,

I am going to do some digging around. The cover of Mount Analogue is incredible. What a title too.

I purchased Moravagine online after reading about it here. Translated by Alan Brown. Is that an ok translation? I'm Looking forward to its arrival.

    Cheers!

    Drew
